Back Again: The 2025 Ford F-150

Back Again: The 2025 Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is the beloved American truck. It’s the perfect size for hardworking Americans who need to get the job done but don’t need something heavy-duty, either. There’s no surprise why, year after year, so many drivers prefer the F-150; not only can drivers find the configurations and trims that match their budget and needs in the F-150 lineup, but Ford’s reputation for quality vehicles exists for a reason, too. With the next update to the F-150 comes the potential for exciting change without marring the classic that is the Ford F-150. Below, we’ll discuss what may be in store for the 2025 model while providing an overview of the truck as a whole.

Exciting Updates for 2025

At the time of writing, the expected updates to the Ford F-150 are all still speculation. While some believe that the 2025 F-150 will ring true, bringing drivers what they love the most by not changing anything, others think that the 2025 F-150 models will possibly have added tailgate functionality at some trim levels and an updated front fascia.

Legendary Ford Power: 2025 F-150 Capability

When you’re behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 truck, you have access to raw power and reliability. While competitors’ trucks may suffer from numerous technical issues, Ford consistently places high JD Power ratings for F-150 reliability. Below are the details about what makes the 2025 F-150 the peak of capability.

Engines and Drivetrains

Ford F-150 drivers have the benefit of being able to choose precisely the powertrain and drivetrain necessary for them to get the job done. Drivers are expected to be able to opt for a  325hp 2.7L turbocharged EcoBoost V6, a 400hp 5.0L V8, a 450hp turbocharged 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and a 430hp hybrid PowerBoost powertrain consisting of an electric motor paired with the turbocharged 3.5L V6 under the hood of their F-150.

Differences in Auto Lenders

There are no worries if you’re coming to Hometown Chillicothe with a bad credit score. Our finance department is here to set you up with the right lender so you can get approved with the best loan payments. Online lender, bank, or credit union: If you’re looking to weigh the options and compare lenders, we’re happy to help you sort through the entire process. Whether it’s your first lender or you’re a seasoned credit pro, we’re here to help at Hometown Chillicothe.

Drivers who need extra power and capability can expect the F-150 Raptor to be their model, available with a 450hp twin-turbo V6 or 720hp Raptor R supercharged V8. Alternatively, gas-conscious drivers can opt for the all-electric F-150 Lightning with two electric motors that make 563hp total and has surprisingly ample torque.

While all-wheel drive is present on all the F-150 lightnings, other F-150 models have the option for four-wheel drive or rear wheel drive.

Towing

You never have to worry about towing capacity when it comes to any F-150 model. Even the F-150 hybrid with the lowest towing and payload capacity is a capable vehicle. However, drivers who intend to tow frequently may consider choosing a strictly gas option, as towing quickly drains the batteries that power the F-150 Lightning. Regardless, drivers can access towing packages that include Pro Trailer Backup Assist, making trailering easier than ever for the uninitiated.

Top-of-the-Line Safety Features

One of the best parts of driving a Ford truck is that you’re covered from end to end with the necessary safety features. Moreover, this exciting safety technology is easily within reach of any Ford truck – especially the F-150. In higher-trim F-150 models, attractive safety features like lane keep assist, automatic emergency brakes, and even a head-up display are available to keep you and your family safe on the road. We’re excited to see whether there is any new safety technology available or available standard on the 2025 F-150.

Interiors for the Everyman and the Executive

While Ford F-150 trucks have always been beloved for their performance capabilities, their range of available luxury and simplicity is also noteworthy. Drivers can choose from a work-oriented Ford F-150 with minimal features and a cost that’s just right, all the way to a cab that resembles the interior of a luxury car, fully equipped with the latest and greatest, along with premium seats, materials, and features. We expect no different from the 2025 F-150 as this is one of the things F-150 does best.

Advanced Technology and Accessories

It’s easy to stay fully connected with the technological suite offered on Ford F-150 vehicles. Expected to remain for the 2025 model year, F-150 owners get their pick of the features they need to stay adequately connected without going what’s overboard to them. To that end, smartphone integration with AppleCarPlay and Android Auto has been standard on the F-150 for some time.

One feature relatively unique to the F-150 is the available Pro Power Onboard feature, which adds electrical outlets to the bed that are powered by the vehicle’s engine. All drivers can expect an infotainment screen equipped standard on their F-150, which is between 8”-15”, depending on the F-150 chosen.
